A 50 year dream
I dream of a world and society more inclusive, Where all races, genders, religions, castes, and creeds Shed superiority and embrace unity, Empathy, and respect as human needs. I dream of a world and society kinder to Earth, Where we treat the environment with care and worth, Recognize our impact on climate change, And take…More
The balcony
Last year, I finally found the perfect place for me. It’s bathed in bright sunlight each morning as the sun rises on its face. Over the months, I’ve observed the neighborhood to be peaceful, with little traffic noise and hustle and bustle. On one side, a stunning lake, and on the other, the back of…More
Meditation | Travels

About me
Experience and projectsI work as a Principal Engineer and Tech Lead in one of the platform engineering teams at Gojek, part of the GoTo Group, where I drive the architectural vision and technical strategy for our mobile platform. Right now that means scalability for the Driver Platform.
Over the past seven years my focus has been scaling our engineering culture and unifying practices across platforms. Much of that goes into cross-platform frameworks that steer development towards unified, efficient solutions, and into tooling for core mobile health metrics that keeps app performance improving.
I am excited by, and somewhat hooked on, state machines and building predictable systems. I am a strong proponent of test-driven, pragmatic engineering, functional and reactive programming, and open source.
I started off in 2013 with the crazy idea of building an operating system on top of Android. It failed and sits parked, but it is where the habit of writing Android apps began. Before Gojek I was an Android engineer at Kite, building offline-first mobile finance products.
Constantly travelling, but mostly based out of Bengaluru. Off the clock I run Vanguard Labs, a small self-hosted fleet. I pen down my thoughts on the blog; some of it gets published.
