Indian? Let that be your Religion.

Last few days, activities in some areas of the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh have been so communal. Sad, devastated, terrified with the tale of events going on, I thought it was the right time to start building from an idea, that I have been thinking over a long time. A nation that doesn’t just talk about unity but rather shows and sets examples. A nation with no communal unrest. A peaceful state where one respects all, irrespective of religion, caste, creed, or social status. A nation which has only one unanimous creed – “Being an Indian”.
It all started the next day when I headed towards the college engrossed in deep thoughts to do so everything that I can do in my capacity to spread this culture. With nothing much to do ……. sitting with my friends, the idea which had an “I” became a dream for all of us. It became “WE”. “We” decided to spread these words to more and more people.
So, why do you think we are doing this, or why do we want to achieve those goals discussed earlier. According to me and some of my like-minded friends, the clause of one’s religious extremist attitude has been a hurdle in almost every sphere. Right from civic functioning to the governance of the nation. It is so deeply rooted, leave governance aside, the election of this government have some constituent elements in them. I am talking here of Religion based Election schemes or Caste based Election schemes etc. But after that, there is nothing. No promises are fulfilled. (The country instead of being developed, …… hate speeches, jammed House of Law, and contention everywhere.)
Then we have riots (a lot actually). If we tear down the entire issue, I bet, there would something “a simple inter-family truce” that takes the shape of a riot, eventually killing hundreds of people, affecting thousands, the disturbing physiological state of millions of people, in and around the area. Why does it happen? It all happens due to some personal gains of few anti-social elements of the society.
When we say, we are Indians, we talk about a new religion, not a religion to be practiced but a spirit, brain state that has to be preached to everyone that teaches one a way to peacefully co-exist in a diverse country like India. We intend to spread to the world, the message of religious tolerance, respect for one another. We want to connect with people, connect communities together, denounce “agents” who add up religious complexities.
